  • 16th June 2012 at 5.15pm. I was driving from Panikkar Villu towards Nelum Wila. A few vehicles ahead of me were moving slowly. They were following a leopard walking towards Nelum Wila. N 8.401667, E 79.980983
    It walked ahead of the vehicles on the Panikkar Villu- Nelum Wila road and entered the forest about ½ km from the sand patch before Nelum Wila. This was my first sighting of PWM 1. I photographed it resting about 40 feet inside the jungle. (With guide Saranga)
